I never planned to build a life across borders. I just knew I couldn’t keep living on autopilot.
If you’ve ever made a bold move — left a job, started a business, raised kids in a new country — you know that feeling. It’s not just strategy. It’s reinvention. Pressure. Fear. Identity. Growth. All at once.
I launched Revenue Without Borders to explore that edge — the moment where clarity fades and decision-making begins. Not just for entrepreneurs, but for all of us choosing lives that don’t fit neatly into systems or expectations.
Recently, I spoke with Syrian-Canadian entrepreneur Hussein Hallak on the podcast. What he shared stayed with me for days.
He said:
“Certainty is an illusion. The sea will do what the sea will do. What you can control is how you navigate this wave — not the next one.”
That metaphor unlocked something in me. Because truthfully, I’ve spent a lot of time trying to control the next wave. I’ve held onto "safe paths" because they looked more secure. But the reality? Even those paths are uncertain — we’re just more familiar with the illusion.
If you're standing in that fog right now — unsure what the next step should be — I hope this lands for you the way it did for me.
This newsletter, Revenue Without Borders, is about building a bold life, wherever you are — even if (especially if) the plan doesn’t go as planned. Whether you're in Dubai or Detroit, Jakarta or Johannesburg, this space is for you.
You can start by listening to this conversation with Hussein. It’s one of the most honest episodes I’ve recorded, and it made me reflect deeply on what I’m building — and why.
